What the report means
A warning is a review prompt, not an automatic repair.
A bank export can be internally consistent and still be wrong for the destination account. This checker deliberately avoids changing values. It identifies conditions that commonly cause mapping errors so you can fix a working copy while preserving the original export.
After the structure passes, continue to the converter to map the columns and preview normalized transactions. Use the download library to compare your file with fictional examples.

Does the file leave my browser?
No. The selected file is read by browser code on this device. Bank2QBO does not receive or store it.
Why sample only 100 rows?
The structural checks stay fast on larger exports while total-row, repeated-heading, and debit-credit checks still cover the full parsed file.
Can a passing file still fail in QuickBooks?
Yes. Product version, destination workflow, duplicate history, account selection, and QBO institution metadata can all affect acceptance.
Does it identify accounting categories?
No. It checks file structure only; it does not classify transactions or provide accounting advice.
